Nia grew up on the side of a ski slope in the Lake Tahoe area and now lives in the San Francisco bay area with her husband, who is an avid reader, a fan, and a huge help with plotting, the male point of view, and dialog. In exchange, she lets him drag her out of her writing chair in pursuit of his bucket list. Once pried from her desk, Nia always rediscovers how much travel rocks. Plus, planes are excellent places to write. Best of all, travel lets them visit far-flung friends.

A former project manager, she missed working with people when she left her day job but quickly discovered how many more people she could connect with over the internet than she ever could at work.
